Sneak Peek of Madeline Hunter's New Book "The Surrender of Miss Fairbourne"

Sneak Peek of Madeline Hunter's New Book
"The Surrender of Miss Fairbourne"

A woman running a prestigious London auction house? Preposterous! But that is exactly what Emma Fairbourne intends to do when her father dies, leaving her the reins of this fabulous enterprise. Of course, she is not addlepated enough to do this openly and scare away her wealthy collectors. So she and her friend concoct a deception, hiring a handsome and charming front man who will do her bidding...

All would have proceeded smoothly—if it weren’t for the maddening interference of Darius, the arrogant Earl of Southwaite, who has been her father’s “silent partner” and now shares ownership of Fairbourne’s. An earl, of course, has no interest in running an auction house—and Darius is certainly not interested in allowing Miss Fairbourne to run it either, her ludicrous scheme notwithstanding. Clearly the business must be sold, especially since Darius suspects that Fairbourne’s has been involved in shady activities that could embroil everyone associated with it in crime and scandal.

But the headstrong Emma is like no other lady he has ever encountered, refusing to follow his dictates. He finds her infuriating, but her direct speaking and lack of artifice create a powerful attraction as well, one that that has him following his inclinations to seduce her into surrendering to him about Fairbourne’s, and in every other way imaginable.

Kelly Heckar “Cat's Curse” Review By

Kelly Heckar “Cat's Curse” Review By

5 Hearts Out Of 5

Kelly Heckart combines fantasy, and historical romance brilliantly in this book. This is a true love story about a women, named Cardea, who has been cursed into a life of misery as a blood drinker. The curse bestowed upon her has caused her to be repulsive to men because of her blood drinking. Cardea is now forced to live in the woods, coming out only during the night to feed. While out hunting for food one faithful night, she comes across a beautiful man who she has never seen before. Cardea will later come to learn that this man is also cursed, and he too lives alone in the woods just as she does.

Shortly, their journey together will begin. Cardea and Aedan will need to put their beliefs, their morals, and everything they've been brought up to believe aside to unite together if they are to ever have hope of undoing the curses that plague them. Will Aedan and Cardea find hope within each other and finally break their curses? Will Cardea remain cursed as a blood drinker? Will Aedan remain cursed as a cat? Will they escape their reclusive existence out in the woods? Find out in Cat's Curse.

Amazing book Kelly. This book drew me in from the first page and held me right to the very end. For readers, this book is full of thrills and excitement that will have you staying up more than a few late nights. I love how the fantasy and historical aspects of this book combined so well together complimenting each other perfectly. A very enjoyable book and I really hope there is a sequel.

Also included is a basement dwelling vampire who only comes out at night, and three shapeshifters, one of which is a crow, and a mortician. The other shapeshifter is a wolf, and the third is a pedigree falcon, the owner of the building, and a famous baseball player. Talk about drama, and that is exactly what this book delivers, I laughed my head off reading this book!

Ashlyn Chase "Strange Neighbors" Review By (Coming Soon)

Ashlyn Chase "Strange Neighbors" Review By (Coming Soon)

Strange Neighbors has been called the paranormal version of "Friends." Remember that TV show? Now picture Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Chandler, Ross and Joey as witches, shapeshifters, and vampires. Don't worry, I didn't copy the show. That wouldn't be much fun for either of us. Besides, the book is always better than the movie or TV show, right? Here, I'll give you a little teaser:

When all-star pitcher and shapeshifter Jason Falco buys a small apartment building, he sees it not only as an investment, but as a place to escape the demands of major league baseball.

That is, until he meets his tenants! A vigilante vampire: a wereraven with a morbid sense of humor; a werewolf thief who poses as a security expert; and two witches who work as phone sex actresses and own an owl familiar. Not to mention a beautiful, all too human nurse who gets Jason's blood pumping overtime.

With all the hooting, howling and hollering going on, how can an All-American guy get some peace and sweep a girl off her feet?
