My Interview with Paranormal Romance Author Theresa Meyer

My Interview with Paranormal Romance Author Theresa Meyer

Q: When did you first realize that you wanted to be a writer, and What was it that inspired you to start writing?

A: I knew I wanted to write in junior high, I just didn't know what I wanted to write. For a long time I pursued journalism, thinking that was the only decent way to make a living and still be a writer. It wasn't until I got an idea for a fictional character that wouldn't leave me alone that I started writing on my first novel. The inspiration for that book was actually a pioneer tombstone in the small town of Oakland, Oregon with the name Icephene Starr on it. It was such an usual name and I just couldn't get over thinking about what a person with that kind of name might be like and the story started percolating in my brain.

VampireBooks.ca Book Review Of “Primal Hunger” Pendragon Gargoyles Book 1 (Coming Soon)

Kennedy Beaumont loves her bar-tending job, even if her spirited nature sometimes gets her in trouble. Like threatening to hose down one of Pendragon’s co-owners. When it comes to Tristan, she could use a good hosing down herself—maybe it’ll help her stop casting him as the star of her wickedest dreams. Since he goes out of his way to avoid her, it ought to be easy to put him out of her head until he reluctantly offers her a ride home.

Gargoyle shape-shifter Tristan Callaghan hasn’t had time for anything other than recovering the mystical dagger that was used to permanently lock his brother in a prison of stone. The cat inside him should have stopped craving Kennedy’s touch long ago, but now that she’s sitting next to him in his car, his very human need for her is sharper than ever.

The distraction is costly. In a split second, Kennedy finds herself thrust into a dangerous, millennia-old hunt for Excalibur. A hunt that marks her for death and leaves Tristan with a painful choice sacrifice his family, his quest…or the one woman meant to be his.

My Interview with Paranormal Romance Author Suz DeMello

My Interview with Paranormal Romance Author Suz DeMello

Q: Do you have any role models? Have there been any other writers that have inspired you?

A: Personal role models differ from professional ones. I want to emulate the Dalai Lama's peacefulness and compassion. As for professional role models—that's hard to say. I'm not as ambitious about my writing as, say, a Jayne Ann Krentz or a Brenda Novak. I know Brenda personally and admire her greatly, but when I think about her life—she has five children and writes several books annually—I want to lie down and take a nice nap.

HistoricalRomanceBooks.ca Book Review of "The Countess" (Coming Soon)

The fairy tale courtship did not turn into a happily ever after…

Not until her husband dropped dead, that is. He had been horrible enough to Christiana during their short marriage, and she was not going to allow the traditional period of mourning to ruin her sisters’ debuts as well. So Christiana decides to put him on ice and go on as if nothing’s happened…

Until the real earl appears. Richard Fairgrave had every intention of confronting his villainous twin who robbed him of his name and title…only to discover that he’d died. Quietly assuming his identity, Richard must now deal with a maddening desire for his ravishing inherited “wife”—certainly a gold digger and possibly a murderess. And Christiana must deal with an unwanted new “husband”…and they both must figure out what to do before the ice melts!

“Sold" were the last words that Lady Isabelle Edwards heard before she was given over to her new purchaser. After being captured by pirates on a ship sailing for America, Isabelle never would have thought in a million years that she would be put on the auction block and sold to some strange man who is drop dead gorgeous. Will Isabelle be able to accept being sold to a man who is an enemy of her father and determined to ruin her repetition? Or will she fall head over heals in love with him and surrender to her sexual desires?

Lord Devon Austin has had to flee his homeland after being accused of murdering a teenage boy by the King of England. When Devon recognizes the King's daughter on the auction block for sale, he decides to purchase the Kings daughter (Isabelle Edwards) for one thousand gold pieces. My Interview with Paranormal Romance Author F.D. Davis

My Interview with Paranormal Romance Author F.D. Davis

Q: When did you first realize that you wanted to be a writer, and What was it that inspired you to start writing?

A: I’m really not sure what age I was when I realized I wanted to seriously write. I started reading when I was four and the love of the written word has only grown through the years. I’ve had many stops on starts on this journey and it all had to do with rejections and not being involved with other writers who knew what it was I was going through.

As to what inspired me to actively pursue a writing career I’m very clear on that. Bill suggested that I take a two year break from working to try and concentrate on writing. If in that time I did not have a writing contract I would return to work and do as I had been doing, write in my spare time. Well, two years came and I didn’t have a contract. I told Bill I would stick to our agreement and return to work. He gave me this look that I can still see, shook his head no, and told me to continue trying. One year later I had my first contract.
